ONLINE SELF-PACED E-Filing Training Course
A self-paced online version of the CM/ECF training is available for users with good computer skills. Training is self-paced and you are required to complete an assessment. Most learners find that this option takes approximately three hours to complete.

firm name and email address
. Once your registration is processed, you will receive an
email with detailed instructions on how to complete the on-line course. All requested information is
required.

The self-paced online
course is completely self-instructional and completed at a time and place convenient for
the participant.
No instructor support is
available.

Participants are expected
to use their own computer, have Internet access, and be able to create PDF documents.

Most learners find that
this option takes approximately three hours to complete.

Participants are given two
opportunities to complete a required assessment.
If after two tries the participant is
unable to successfully complete the assessment, they will be required to take an
instructor-led class.
Applications are typically processed within 3-5 business
days of receipt. Once your application is approved you will receive your CM/ECF
login ID and password for the District Court, Northern District of Illinois via
the email address.
